Rachel Crume was born and raised in Oldham County, and graduated from South Oldham High School in 2003. From there, she went to Indiana Wesleyan University and studied Business Management. She loved playing sports in high school, along with fishing her whole life. She started hunting right after graduating high school. She still enjoys hunting with her husband, Scott, and black lab, Crank. Today, she is the Executive Director of the Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Foundation, which is a non-profit that supports the Salato Wildlife Education Center, summer conservation camps, and habitat improvement projects. Throughout her career she has been a mentor to many children and adults to introduce them to hunting and fishing related activities. Along with that, she created Annie Oakley Range Day in 2009, an annual event that has hosted and introduced hundreds of women to shooting sports.
